This place is fairly clean and the staff is friendly. the location is absolutely perfect, close to everything you need. You can easily reach the boardwalk, bars, restaurants, and cafes nearby. 🌟

Exceptionally comfortable beds and a balcony and a writing desk. Pretty nice bedroom, very comfortable stay with late check out.

It's a simple hotel with cheap room. The staff in general is amazingly kind and pleasant. The venue offers marvellous and absolutely perfect location next to both downtown and the Boardwalk and various restaurants and the beautiful San Lorenzo river.

Our queen room came fully equipped with a freezer and a microwave, which was a nice touch.

Extremely spacious and cheap room with fridge/microwave as well as nice shower, and safe too for guests' safety.

All in all everything was excellent, had a VERY PLEASANT stay on vacation. All the staff was helpful, fixed my issues. The location offered was comfortable close to The Catalyst, Downtown Santa Cruz, and both downtown and the shore. Westside Santa Cruz district was worth staying in. I liked being in this place.

This place had a spacious room at a great price in a quiet and convenient location near everything.

well the one room that didnt have heat is the one they gave us,which a lillte heat what have been okay .being that it got down into the 40s at night. only came once to clean the room,staying for 3 days.never took out the garbage.and needed towels.

I liked the location which was just a few blocks from the Beach Boardwalk. I really liked the size of the rooms & the fact that it had a microwave, full size refrigerator & large kitchen -eating area. The room was clean & the beds were comfortable.

The spot by the boardwalk was super convenient, just a quick walk away! 🏖️

It was way over priced. The place is uncomfortable. Would have gotten a different place if it were not for the no refund policy. The inside of each of the rooms looks like a prison. There are hotel policy rules that cover the inside walls. These rules cover roughly 12 to 15 square feet. Maintenance was awful. Walls half painted,stairs broken,

All rooms were huge.

This place had a great location, right in the middle of everything. It was super chill with almost no noise around. 🌳

We did not like the service. We got there around 9:00 and the office was close and the person that opened the window was not nice. He made us feel llike we were there to rob him or something. The morning we left we was was not friendly at all like if he was doing us a favor. We will never stay at the Budget Inn ever again.

The bed was comfortable. There was free wi-fi that worked.

This is the tackiest (bordering on sleezy) motel I have ever stayed in -- I have never seen a motel with 8 letter size pages of dogmatic mandates for what you can and cannot do taped to the main wall of the room. All furniture and appliances are old, tattered and the kitchen unit had no untensils. Walls are cracked and paint chipped everywhere. Outside walls and doors are cracked, missing paint and boards are over missing air conditioners (I.E. take off boards and you can crawl into the room). Manager was surly and unfriendly. The room seemed clean but rug was "sticky". My next night I stayed at a nearby Motel 9 at same cost and none of the above issues. If I had read the other reviews, I would not have booked ahead and stayed there and would not be writing these comments as a warning to fellow travelers -- you now know what to expect.
